Civiltec partnered with Pico Water District to provide engineering and design services for the construction of a new well serving the City of Pico Rivera, California. Located on Rosemead Boulevard, the well now provides a potable water supply to adjacent residents and businesses.

Civiltec staff performed the following scope of work:

  • Design of new pumping equipment and flush-to-waste system
  • Design of new well building and site improvements
  • Disinfection system design
  • Electrical system and permanent emergency generator design

The Civiltec team has successfully completed a host of similar groundwater well projects in the Main San Gabriel Basin and other aquifers in the region. Civiltec also has prior experience in the City of Pico Rivera, having recently completed a local pipeline relocation project.

Civiltec Partner David Song, PE served as Principal and Project Manager for the Rosemead Well equipping project in partnership with Mark Grajeda, General Manager of Pico Water District. With over 15 years of experience in the water industry in Southern California, Mr. Song has designed and managed more than 10 groundwater wells in the course of his career. Supporting team members included Sky Younger, PE as Electrical Engineer and Charlie Devine as Staff Engineer.
