The City of Pico Rivera recently contracted Civiltec for a pipeline relocation and replacement project. Civiltec has previously worked within the City, partnering with the Pico Water District on the creation of new groundwater wells.
The project scope includes the replacement of two residential pipelines on Pico Vista Road and Olympic Boulevard. These pipelines currently run through the privately owned yards of residents as well as underneath sidewalks.
Currently, if there is an issue with either pipeline, the process to access them is disruptive to residents. By relocating the pipelines, the City will have greater control in analyzing or repairing in future situations.
Greg Ripperger leads the team’s analysis and design as Project Manager. He is supported by Charlie Devine and Michael Malcolm.
The project kicked off in February 2019 and is scheduled to be complete in May 2019.
