Welcome to Civiltec’s Community Referral Program!
Great people know great people. If you know someone who would be a great fit for our open positions, we’d love to meet them. As a thank you, you may be eligible to receive a cash referral reward when your referral reaches certain hiring milestones.
1) How does the program work?
It’s simple:
- Tell someone about one of our open positions.
- The candidate submits their own application through Civiltec’s Careers page or another approved application source.
- During the application process, the candidate identifies you as the person who referred them.
- If all program requirements are met, you may become eligible to receive referral rewards based on the candidate’s progress through our hiring process.
What is the Community Referral Program?
Civiltec’s Community Referral Program allows members of the public to earn referral rewards by introducing qualified candidates to Civiltec.
Candidates must apply through this link and identify the person who referred them during their application.
What are the referral rewards?
Elligiblie referrals may receive:
- $100 Referral Reward when the candidate completes a qualifying interview.
- $500 Referral Reward when the candidate is hired and successfully completes their first 30 days of employment
A maximum of one interview reward and one hiring reward may be paid for each eligible candidate.Referral rewards are subject to applicable taxes and reporting requirements.
What is a qualifying interview?
A qualifying interview is the first formal interview following the initial recruiter or HR screening. Application reviews, recruiter calls, phone screenings, virtual prescreening, and other preliminary evaluations do not qualify.
Civiltec determines whether a candidate has completed a qualifying interview under this program.
Do I need to submit anything?
No.
The candidate submits their own application. Simply encourage qualified individuals to apply and make sure they identify you as their referrer during the application process.
2) Eligibility
Who can participate?
Anyone who is at least 18 years old may participate unless otherwise prohibited by law or Civiltec policy.
The following are not eligible:
- Professional Recruiters
- Staffing Agencies
- Recruitment Firms
- Individuals acting as recruiters for compensation
- Candidates referring themselves
Current Civiltec employees should participate through Civiltec’s employee referral program, if applicable.
Who can I refer?
To qualify, the candidate must generally:
- Apply for an eligible position
- Meet the qualifications listed in the job posting
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Not already be active in Civiltec’s applicant tracking system or hiring process, as determined by Civiltec
- Identify you as their referrer during the applicant process
Candidates should apply voluntarily and with their own consent.
Can profession recruiters participate?
No. This program is intended for personal referrals only and is not available to recruiting firms, staffing agencies, or professional recruiters.
3) Referral Rewards
When will I receive my referral reward?
Referral rewards are generally processed within 30 days after eligibility has been verified.
- Interview Reward ($100): Generally paid within 30 days after the candidate completes a qualifying interview.
- Hiring Reward ($500): Generally paid within 30 days after the candidate successfully completes
How will I be paid?
Payments may be made by direct deposit, check, digital gift card, or another payment method approved by Civiltec.
If you become eligible for a referral reward, we will contact you to obtain any information necessary to process payment.
What if I don’t receive my payment?
If you believe you earned a referral reward and have not received it within the expected timeframe, please contact Civiltec’s Recruiting Team at careers@civiltec.com.
4) Taxes
Are referral rewards taxable?
Yes.
Referral rewards may be considered taxable income. Federal, state, and local tax laws may apply. If required by law, Civiltec may request tax documentation before issuing payment.
If your payments meet IRS reporting thresholds, Civiltec may issue the appropriate tax forms, including Form 1099-NEC.
5) Candidate Information & Privacy
How does Civiltec know I referred someone?
During the application process, candidates will be asked how they heard about the position.
They should select the referral option and provide your name. Referral information generally cannot be added after an application has been submitted.
What information do I need to provide?
Nothing, initially.
If you qualify for a referral reward, we may request your contact information, payment information, and any tax documentation required by law.
Will I receive updates about the candidate?
Due to privacy laws, we cannot share details about a candidate’s application, interview, hiring status, or employment beyond what is necessary to administer this program.
Is my information protected?
Yes. Any personal information collected to administer this program will be handled in accordance with Civiltec’s Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
6) Program Rules
Can more than one person receive credit for the same candidate?
No. Only one referral reward may be awarded for each candidate.
If multiple individuals are identified as referring the same candidate, Civiltec will determine the eligible referrer based on the candidate’s application and Civiltec’s records.
Can I refer myself?
No. Candidates are not eligible to refer themselves.
What happens if the candidate is not hired?
If the candidate completes a qualifying interview but is not hired, you may still be eligible to receive the $100 Interview Referral Reward.
The $500 Hiring Referral Reward is only available if the candidate is hired and successfully completes their first 30 days of employment.
Who determines whether a referral qualifies?
Civiltec has sole discretion to determine eligibility under this program, including candidate eligibility, qualifying interviews, duplicate referrals, hiring status, and payment eligibility.
Can Civiltec deny a referral reward?
Yes.
Civiltec reserves the right to deny or withhold a referral reward if it determines that a referral contains false information, violates these program terms, involves fraud or abuse, or otherwise fails to meet the program requirements.
Can Civiltec change or end the program?
Yes.
Civiltec reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue this program, including eligibility requirements, qualifying positions, reward amounts, and payment procedures, at any time, subject to applicable law.
Does participating make me a Civiltec employee?
No. Participation in this program does not create an employment relationship, agency relationship, partnership, or contract between you and Civiltec.
