Well 8 Piping and Site Improvements

City of Lynwood

Civiltec Engineering, Inc. is proud to partner with Lynwood in improving the Well 8 facility, a critical water source first drilled in 1948. Led by Project Manager David Song, PE, this project is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhance water infrastructure and ensuring long-term reliability.

With design completed and construction on the horizon, the project will introduce essential upgrades to enhance water flow, filtration, and disinfection. The improvements include replacing outdated sand separation and piping systems, automating a pump-to-waste system, upgrading the chlorine disinfection system, enhancing building conditions with air conditioning and repainting, and connecting the well to the city’s sewer system for responsible wastewater management.

A dedicated team of Civiltec professionals—including Alex Mairena, Bryce Mayhook, Eugene Duncan, Heber Torres, Mark Randle, Sanjay Verma, and Vincent Wong—has worked collaboratively to modernize the well’s infrastructure. Their combined expertise ensures that Well 8 will continue providing safe, high-quality water to Lynwood’s residents while supporting operational efficiency and sustainable water management.

Expected to be completed by September 2025, this revitalization will strengthen Well 8 as a reliable resource for the city, reinforcing Lynwood’s commitment to delivering a resilient and dependable water supply for years to come.
