The owner of the Bayside Village Marina in Newport Beach has contracted with Civiltec on a small infill/redevelopment project: relocating a 30-inch transmission water pipeline that runs across the property and services a significant portion of the City. Bayside Village Marina is located in the Upper Newport Bay, one of the largest non-commercial harbors in Southern California.
The scope of the project is to perform preliminary design of the water line that meets both the project and City objectives, provide technical support to obtain California Coastal Commission approval of the Coastal Development Permit, and to provide a cost estimate. Shem Hawes, Bed Dawadi and Nicholas Brethorst are combining to work on this project, which started in August 2016. The team expects to wrap up the preliminary design phase sometime in Summer 2017.
“Our team has assisted in the technical studies of water system facilities for numerous environmental documents in the past five years,” said Project Manager Bed Dawadi. “We are happy that we can bring our experience and knowledge to bear on this project for Bayside Village Marina.”
