The City of Brea has selected Civiltec Engineering, Inc. to complete a variety of as needed supplemental engineering services as a part of its $13 million capital improvement program (CIP) for the 2019-20 fiscal year. Our firm appreciates being a partner with the City of Brea to assist public works in addressing infrastructure needs and ultimately improving the quality of life in their community.
Civiltec is proud to continue its standing relationship with the City of Brea after having successfully completed multiple projects for the City, giving the firm important insights into the City’s systems, codes and procedures.
The scope of work for the engineering services provided will include 3 phases with the first phase entailing kick-off meetings, utility and records research, aerial and field survey, hydraulic analysis and geotechnical investigation. The second phase will include 60% design plans, permitting, potholing (as needed) and utility agency correspondence. The third phase will include 100% design plans, and the final phase will include bidding and construction support services.
Civiltec President David Byrum is the Principal Engineer on the project along with David Song as Project Manager and Terry Kreger as the Quality Assurance/Quality Check Manager. Furthermore, Shem Hawes will serve as Sewer Engineer, Octavio Solorza will handle streets and civil/site, Chris Dusza will act as Drainage Engineer, Greg Ripperger will serve at Water Engineer, Chris Duncan will handle Surveying, Sara Canché will handle permitting and Vincent IP will act as Geotechnical Engineer.
