The City of Colton selected Civiltec to design a new 6-million-gallon water tank. The construction of this tank, in conjunction with repairs to Rialto Reservoir 2, will satisfy an 8.3-million-gallon storage deficiency of potable water in the City’s Master Water Plan. Civiltec’s team of world class engineers will bring their expertise to serve the design needs of the City of Colton.
This project will be located southwest of the intersection of Rialto Avenue and Muscott Road on flat land. The new 6-million-gallon steel tank will require a moderate amount of grading and the construction of paved access roads. The tank, and necessary equipment will serve the Central Zone of the City. Given the location’s proximity to the San Jacinto fault, Civiltec will handle design challenges to ensure the tank’s stability even in the event of seismic activity.
Construction of the project is expected to be completed in August 2024. Staff members from the Monrovia, Fullerton, and Phoenix offices will be engaged in this project. C. Shem Hawes, PE will serve as Project Manager.
