One of Civiltec’s core values is to foster talent. This summer, we’ve hired two interns to achieve this goal while supplementing the team as we tackle our increased workload.

The Civiltec team is enjoying working with our interns and we look forward to seeing where their career paths lead them!

Addie Daniels, Intern

Prescott, AZ

Addie Daniels is a rising sophomore at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas working towards a degree in Civil Engineering. She applied for a summer position with Civiltec in hopes of working on a variety of projects that would expose her to new career paths in the field. Upon joining the firm as an intern, Addie hit the ground running with work on a booster pump station for the town of Prescott Valley, as well as a road improvement project in Dewey-Humboldt.

“I am enjoying the opportunity to work in a professional atmosphere with people who are willing to invest in my on the job learning. It means a lot to me that my superiors want to help me learn and develop skills that will benefit me both at school and in my future career,” said Addie.

Addie’s hobbies include track and field (which involves throwing discus, javelin and hammers), silversmithing and binge-watching Star Trek.

Miranda Hawes, Marketing Intern

Monrovia, CA

Miranda is an incoming college freshman and intended Political Science major at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She joined Civiltec for the summer to learn more about the marketing landscape and the methods used to engage and sell clients on retaining services. Miranda is currently working on cut sheets for several Civiltec projects, most recently the Ultraviolet Light Flex Modular Demonstration Project at Plant B6 Treatment Facility in Baldwin Park.

“I like that I am able to learn more about how a business operates,” said Miranda. ”Also, I enjoy being able to directly help others employed here. It is really busy right now, so every little bit counts.”

When not on the job, Miranda enjoys long distance biking trips with her family. “We bike in the Chino Hills State park, which is really beautiful, and they have a lot of trails. The largest feat was biking from our home to Newport Beach. And now my dad wants us to ride the Bird Trail to Lake Powell, which is 75 miles, in the Arizona and Utah heat!”
