Civiltec Engineering, Inc. was contacted by the Town of Chino Valley to provide surveying and engineering services for improvements to the North Road 1 East, located between Juniper Drive and Perkinsville Road. This project will enhance roadway safety, durability, and drainage for the surrounding community.

As part of this effort, we are preparing legal descriptions and exhibits to help the Town secure right-of-way easements for two parcels owned by the City of Prescott. These easements, one covering approximately 0.462 acres and the other 1.480 acres, will support both permanent roadway improvements and temporary construction activities.

The project scope includes removing existing pavement and rebuilding the roadway with a 9-inch aggregate base and a 4-inch asphalt surface, along with new 2-foot-wide shoulders to improve safety and stability. Civiltec’s responsibilities also cover grading, drainage improvements, traffic control planning, and coordination with local agencies to ensure smooth project delivery.

Additional work includes adjusting utility features such as valve boxes, manholes, and fire hydrants, along with implementing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to manage erosion control and environmental protection throughout construction. Our team will oversee quality control testing to ensure materials and compaction meet project specifications.

The project is designed for completion soon and will be phased to maintain traffic flow, with special consideration for access to the Community Center and Aquatic Center. Through comprehensive engineering and project oversight, Civiltec is helping deliver a safer, more resilient roadway for Chino Valley.
