In March of this year, Civiltec completed a groundwater production well for the San Gabriel County Water District. The project, called Well No. 15, included engineering design, construction management, environmental process support, and public relations support.

Prior to drilling the new well, Civiltec decommissioned the existing well, Well No. 7, which was also located on the Longden Reservoir building site and had been in operation since 1947.

The new well was drilled to 910 feet with perforations beginning at 500 feet bgs. The well was equipped with a 400 hp pump @ 516 feet TDH and will discharge 2,250 gpm into the adjacent Longden Reservoirs. The project also included construction of an acoustic well enclosure, chlorine disinfection building, discharge and waste piping, electrical system, Edison transformer and switchboard, automatic transfer switch, motor control center, on-site 600 kW generator with acoustic attenuation, telemetry and SCADA systems, and site improvements.

The project is now live on our project portfolio page.
