Mark Myers

SENIOR DESIGNER – PRESCOTT

Myers-Cropped copy

Where did you attend college and what did you study?
I attended Ventura College and studied general education.

What drew you to working for Civiltec?
I was drawn to Civiltec because the Prescott office needed someone to start up the Civil 3D applications. The company was converting from Land Desktop software to the Civil 3D, and I was already trained using it.

What do you like best about working at Civiltec?
I really like the team atmosphere we have here in the Prescott office, and working with the Phoenix office, too.  With today’s technology, we are able to easily work together on projects, regardless of which office we are based.

What are some of your favorite types of projects to work on?
I mostly work on (and like) road design, site design, and grading projects.  Within the last few years, I worked on some shooting ranges, and a 5-mile long road project.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?
I am a musician (guitar player).  I spend a lot of time playing, and I am in an Eagles tribute band called “South of Winslow” here in Arizona.  I also love the outdoors (fishing, mountain biking, etc.) and my family (including dogs).

Is there a particular hobby, interest or skill you have that other employees might not know about?
Most people in the Arizona offices know I’m a musician but some in the California office may be surprised to find out.
