Civiltec’s David Byrum and Shem Hawes recently attended the 2015 California Utility Executive Management Association (CUEMA) Leadership Summit at the San Diego Resort & Spa. Shem also played in the conference’s golf tournament (spoiler alert: his foursome won!). David is a member of the CUEMA Board of Directors and a long-time supporter of the organization, and Civiltec was a CUEMA Summit Platinum Sponsor for the 5th consecutive year.
“The sessions were incredible. Each was very well done and full of valuable information that we can immediately put to use here at Civiltec,” said David Byrum. “It was also great to catch up with the other Board members–this is a great group to work with.”
David also mentioned how impressed he was with the special guest speaker for the conference: Jana Itzen of ITZEN Architects Inc. Jana focused on “The Anatomy of Today’s Board Room”. “I think her expertise could help us tremendously, especially with how we’re leveraging new technologies such as video conferencing.”
